Oh jeez, I wish I'd seen this in April! I'd been wondering the same thing ever since I read the book -- as soon as I develop an obsession for something, music begins to remind me of it and I can't help but form my own little playlist. But JS&MN has been thwarting me for years; something about it is so difficult to capture in music.

I've also been (slowly) putting together a FST totally independently and hope to finish it by the end of the month. Go figure. But I think the more people involved, the better range we'll have. The search should continue.

Let me know when you get it finished! I'd love to hear what you've come up with.

I suppose it doesn't help that it's something so contextually bound, and most music produced today isn't along the same lines as late 18th century Britain.
